GARDENS IN BABYLON
Our Mission

Cultivating faithfulness in every hard place. not just a podcast

Why "Gardens in Babylon"

The prophet Jeremiah wrote to a people carried off into a foreign empire, tempted to either assimilate quietly or resist bitterly. His instruction was neither: build houses, plant gardens, seek the welfare of the city — and remain faithful to the God who sent you there. That's the tension we live in. The modern world is our Babylon. Faithfulness doesn't mean withdrawal, and it doesn't mean going native. It means cultivating something rooted and real, right where you've been placed.

What We're For

We help ordinary Christians think biblically and wisely about every area of life — family, work, business, politics, medicine, ethics, finances, education, technology, ministry, and culture — while staying deeply rooted in Scripture. We're building toward something bigger than any single episode: a trusted resource you return to whenever you're facing a hard decision and asking, "what does Scripture actually say about this?"

What We're Against

Sensationalism. Political tribalism. Shallow Christianity that trades biblical depth for outrage, applause, or ease. We'd rather be slow and honest than fast and viral.

How We Handle Disagreement

On some questions, faithful Christians who love Scripture land in different places. Where that's true, we say so plainly, represent each position as its strongest advocates would, and resist the temptation to declare a winner just to give you a tidier answer. Where Scripture speaks with clarity, we speak with clarity too. We think you're capable of sitting with real disagreement without losing your footing — and we'd rather trust you with the truth than manage you with a simplified version of it.

Who We Serve

Ordinary believers, pastors, parents, business owners, and church leaders trying to make faithful decisions in a world that rarely makes it easy. If you've ever finished a sermon or a hot take and thought, "okay, but what do I actually do with this on Monday" — you're who we're building for.
